Franchising is derived from French words of honesty and freedom. Franchising is being one of business channel that allows the owner to share rights in selling products or even service. In business term, franchising means bound of companies that give rights to other parties to take and use the rights using their trademark.

Coca Cola Company is one of the world biggest companies that are using the franchising system. McDonalds takes part as the world biggest fast food company with franchise business system.

Franchising is started on 1850s by Isaac Singer, a sew machines of Singer. He was trying to sell his products of sew machines Singer but takes lots of failure. Then he tried to introduce the system of franchising in United States that soon gains profit.

Generally there are no specific types of franchise, but in the business term there will be foreign and domestic franchise. Commonly, foreign franchise is liking by most people because the brand of the company is already world widely known, then it makes the process of procedure is easier. However, domestic franchise is also being one of alternative in business people to create and establish more business experiences.
