beasiswa Sep 19, 2009 9:13 pmWe live in LA because there is a LACK of weather.
We have NO hurricanes.
We have NO tornadoes.
When it sprinkles, it’s a MAJOR news event. They send some poor shlub reporter out into the rain somewhere to tell you what you already know: Water is coming from the sky! It’s quite funny, actually. I’m sure people from other parts of the country must look at it and laugh.
But basically, we get 340+ days of sunshine per year, and average just a few inches of rain per year. Little rain, no snow, no hurricanes, no tornadoes. That’s why we live here and put up with the smog, traffic, and occasional earthquake.
However, if you want to report on something weather-related, go to Wikipedia and look up “Santa Ana winds”, and note the relationship to fires in southern California. The lack of rain has caused a serious drought here, and fire season now year-round.My Culinary Schools

Fun Gadgets Sep 22, 2009 11:47 amFour years ago, in ‘05 there was heavy rain that caused mudslides. Since then there hasn’t been anything but fires in the fall.
Thunderstorms aren’t newsworthy here, try Kansas, Oklahoma or Ohio
Remember the song with the lyrics, “it doesn’t rain much in southern California”
We don’t have hurricanes either.
I think you need a different city with more exciting weather. A sprinkle gets the newscasters dancing here.My Culinary Schools

informasi beasiswa Sep 25, 2009 7:03 amIt was a little misty the other morning … barely enough to put on the windsheild wipers, but the news came on with “STORMWATCH”, and they had this dramatic music in the background. It was funny !
Weather today in LA … sunny and mild. Weather tomorrow … sunny and mild. Weather next week … sunny and mild.
Now, earthquakes – we get ‘em all the time in LA. Weather – not so much, unless sunny and mild counts as weather.

Fun Gadgets Oct 01, 2009 6:21 amThis was the most recent “dramatic weather” in Los Angeles. Two tornadoes, in Riverside County. This was May 22, 2008 (Last Spring). We don’t get things like this often, and when we do, they are always unexpected, and we never give them names like they do in other parts of the USA.
Basically, here in Los Angeles, our weather is best described as “Blissfully Boring”… That’s how we like it too!Fun Gadgets

informasi beasiswa Oct 04, 2009 11:23 amLos Angeles does not get hurricanes or tornadoes.
Expect for a rare moment last year in Riverside where there were 2 tornadoes.
Thunderstorms are a possibility but rare.beasiswa

SEO Friendly directory Oct 07, 2009 9:35 amI lived in So Cal (OC but it is still LA) for a total of 17 years and there aren’t any cool thunderstorms. There was a small tornado that touched a couple of years ago but it was like a class 2 and left as quick as it came and didn’t do any damage.
Hurricanes, unless you are talking about the drink it hasn’t happened.
You would be much better off writing about earthquakes in LA becuase there are 1 and a half seasons in LA; Summer and a short spring.
Hope that helps.beasiswa
